The MARS driver training vehicle was used in Bundeswehr training units. In the early 2000s, several units were modernized. Key modifications include a redesigned driver’s cab with large panoramic front windows and an air conditioning unit mounted on the roof.

This resin kit is based on the conversion kit MR-87040, but features the updated driver's cabin, Diehl tracks, and the track skirts currently installed on the real vehicle.
