We have decided to re-release the MR Models Jagdtiger in 1:72. The Jagdtiger MR-72065, developed many years ago, was a combination kit with an upper and lower hull as well as small parts made of resin. The MR Models kit was equipped with a turned 12.8cm gun barrel and contained the plastic kit of the Revell Tiger II Ausf.B (No.03129) excluding the turret.
Shortly after the release of our Jagdtiger in 1:72, Dragon first released a plastic kit of the Jagdtiger in this scale, followed a short time later by a 1:72 Jagdtiger from the Chinese manufacturer Trumpeter, now an industry giant.
The only things currently available are the unconvincing Jagdtiger from Trumpeter in 1:72 and the ancient plastic kit of the 1:72 Jagdtiger from the 1970s from the former manufacturer ESCI from Italy, which can now be found in Italeri's delivery program. Recently we have been receiving repeated customer requests for a re-edition of the MR Model Jagdtiger. After viewing the master model, we decided to re-produce our Jagdtiger under the new item number MR-72150. Since adding the Revell kit as with the original edition under the number MR-72065 is no longer possible for cost reasons, we can only offer the MR Models Jagdtiger as a conversion kit under the new item number. Offer MR-72150. This is optimized for the still available 1:72 plastic kit of the Tiger II Ausf.B from Revell. The MR-72150 conversion kit contains a new, very detailed upper hull with the typical flame-cutting structures of the prototype's superstructure armor, an extended lower hull and all small parts such as gun mantlet, hatch cover, barrel support, etc. and of course a turned 12.8cm gun barrel. Since a new edition as a complete resin model was initially planned, in addition to the additional chain links required due to the longer lower hull, the first series also contains some resin parts, which are also included in the Revell kit of the Tiger II Ausf.B required for the conversion .
We have not checked whether the tracks and chassis parts from the 1:72 Tiger II Ausf.B kits from Academy, Trumpeter or Zvezda can also be used, as the kits are all kept to a fairly accurate 1:72 scale, but should require certain adjustments It may also be possible to use these plastic model kits for conversion.
